Kaffedepartementet is a specialty coffee roastery in Nordvest that coffee lovers regard as a serious destination, roasting high-altitude Kenyan and Ethiopian beans on-site twice a week and pouring a distinctive, vibrant, fermented espresso that stays balanced rather than sharply acidic. Their poppy-seed tebirkes are repeatedly called among the best in Copenhagen. The refurbished industrial space is praised as calm and welcoming with a 'quiet confidence,' more low-key than neighboring spots.
