bird : downtown is a part vinyl-listening lounge, part serious cocktail bar tucked into Palægade near Kongens Nytorv, named after jazz great Charlie 'Bird' Parker. Mellow coffee-and-records spot by day, it shifts into a lively, well-regarded cocktail bar by evening, with a tight menu built on a few good local ingredients and bartenders spinning records off the wall. It's the downtown sibling to bird : uptown in Frederiksberg, and worth it if you like your drinks made with care and your music analog. Central location means it can get busy, so don't expect a quiet corner on a weekend.
