The Spis take

Bistro 23 sits on the sunny side of Nyhavn in a whitewashed 17th-century house, doing Danish-French crowd-pleasers: fish and seafood, steaks and smørrebrød, with a coveted canal-side terrace. It's been going since 2000 and is squarely a Nyhavn tourist-strip restaurant, so you're partly paying for the view and reviews are mixed on food and value. Fine for a sunny lunch by the water if you set expectations accordingly.
