The Spis take

Now trading as Apollo Grill & Brew, this is Denmark's original modern microbrewery, launched in 1990 at the edge of Tivoli, still brewing in copper kettles. Since merging with steakhouse chain A Hereford Beefstouw the kitchen leans meaty (spare ribs, steaks, a well-liked burger) alongside four-plus house beers, in a glass pavilion facing Vesterbrogade with a terrace over the gardens. It's a touristy, comfortable spot rather than a craft-beer pilgrimage, but the house brews and the location earn it a look.
