Billed as Amager's oldest tavern, dating to 1899, Café Guldhuset on Woltersgade was reopened in 2009 by a young chef-owner who kept the old bodega feel while adding a proper kitchen. It's a classic neighbourhood brown-café that does à la carte and diner-style plates and takes party bookings. Not a foodie pilgrimage, but a warm, characterful local with real history behind the bar.
