Café Niko is a design-led cafe on Papirøen (Paper Island) from ceramics studio NIKO JUNE with architect Kim Lenschow, where the whole space, from the veined-stone bar to the tableware, doubles as a shop, so everything you touch is also for sale. Coffee, breakfast and small plates by day tip into wine, beer and evening plates later in the week. It's calm, considered and genuinely worth a detour if you care about design and a beautiful room; the food plays a supporting role to the setting.
