The community café inside the Fuglebakken local centre in Aarhus V, since renamed Folkehuset Fuglebakken. It's built for the neighbourhood and its older residents: hot lunch and coffee at gentle prices on weekdays, the sort of place where you can phone ahead the day before to reserve a plate. Warm and local rather than a spot a visitor would seek out, and hours are short and daytime-only. A genuine piece of the area's social fabric, not a restaurant outing.
