The Spis take

One of the oldest and smallest værtshuse in Aarhus, a genuine old-Aarhus institution near the harbour end of Skovvejen. The gimmick is real and endearing: more than 1,300 clowns crammed into every corner, gifted over the years, presided over by the owner known as 'The Clown'. Come for cheap Danish beer, the Cirkus-sæt (a beer plus a shot of MØFFE bitter) and a warm, faintly surreal local atmosphere. It is a drinking spot, not a kitchen, so set your expectations accordingly.
