Good forcheap, excellent onigiri on the go

The Spis take

Chef Hiroo Machida's tiny rice kitchen in Kødbyen (the name comes from 'kome', Japanese for rice) turning out some of the best-value Japanese food in the city — freshly made onigiri at around 35 DKK each (two for 65), plus karaage, sashimi and fried snacks. It's a street-food operation with almost no seating and a near-permanent queue, so plan to grab-and-go or perch on the kerb; over a thousand onigiri reportedly go out daily. Cheap, delicious and genuinely beloved — one of Copenhagen's easy wins.
