The Spis take

The café at the entrance to Den Gamle By, Aarhus' open-air town museum, set in a 1930s English-cottage-style house with parquet floors and chandeliers. By day it's a straightforward stop for coffee and a bite before or after wandering the historic streets; it also doubles as an elegant private-event and dinner-party venue. Handy and characterful, but very much a museum café rather than a dining destination in its own right.
