Good forcoffee and people-watching on Stroget

The Spis take

A Copenhagen landmark cafe on Amagertorv, at the heart of Stroget, opened in 1989 just as the Berlin Wall fell (hence the name). It's a serious specialty-coffee pioneer - its founders went on to start the Copenhagen Coffee Academy - and pairs that with European cafe cooking using good Danish ingredients. The location makes it touristy and priced accordingly, but the coffee heritage is real; a fine perch for people-watching over the square.
