The scruffy, beloved cellar bar beneath Galathea Kroen, the 1953 explorer-themed institution near Rådhuspladsen where the walls drip with African masks, leopard skin and a canoe hanging from the ceiling. 'Dybet' (the deep) is the informal downstairs drinking den: cold beer, wine and coffee, no pretense, a genuine slice of old Copenhagen atmosphere. Come for the room and the history rather than any culinary ambition.
