The Spis take

A Blaagaardsgade institution since 1989, Kate's Joint does loose, homestyle Indian-Malay cooking with an unusually generous spread of vegetarian and vegan options. The room is loud, artsy and a bit rough around the edges (stools, not chairs), and the food is more freewheeling fusion than textbook-authentic, but it's tasty, well-priced and full of character. A genuine Nørrebro classic that people keep coming back to for the vibe as much as the plate.
