The Spis take
The former ticket house at the top of Valby Bakke, reopened as a proper sit-down restaurant run by the acclaimed Norrlyst group (the Michelin-adjacent crew behind several Copenhagen spots). It does newly interpreted Danish smørrebrød, warm dishes and cakes in a genuinely handsome historic setting, and leans hard into families with a play corner and children's menus under 50 kr. For a zoo restaurant it's a notch above the usual cafeteria fare, though you're still paying attraction prices and you need a paid zoo ticket to get in.
