The Spis take

Part of LeLe, Copenhagen's much-loved Vietnamese family institution: the Le family arrived as boat refugees in 1979 and opened their first Vesterbro spot in 2003, and the LeLe Street Kitchen offshoots do fast, fresh Vietnamese street food and takeaway. The brand is genuinely credited with putting Vietnamese food on Copenhagen's map, spawning many imitators while staying ahead. The street-kitchen format is more grab-and-go than the flagship nha hang, but the pedigree and flavours carry through; note the 'Vietnamese coffee' is more filter-plus-condensed-milk than the real drip ritual.
