The Spis take

A Syrian shawarma spot and café on Banegårdspladsen by the train station, where the bread, dressings and much of the food are made from scratch on site. The pitch is cheap, honest, homemade Middle Eastern food: shawarma, fries and hummus plates in a relaxed room with exposed light-brick walls. Open late most nights, which makes it a handy fill-up near the station. Straightforward and good value rather than refined.
