The Spis take

A lovely little coffee-and-hygge café by Sct. Jørgens Sø, run by a Danish couple who pour Copenhagen Coffee Lab beans and lay out a properly good spread of French pastry. Regulars single out the croissants and pain au chocolat as some of the best in town — flaky, buttery, the real thing — and the small, warm room makes it a genuine neighbourhood favourite rather than an Instagram trap. Worth a detour if you're circling the lakes and want serious coffee and viennoiserie.
