Chengdu-style maocai (build-your-own mini hot pot) landed near the university on Fiolstræde. You pick from 50-odd fresh ingredients, choose a broth (classic, mushroom, tomato or spicy) and pay by weight, no menu and no reservations, just walk in. It's the Danish debut of a huge Chinese chain, so don't expect intimate, but for cheap, customisable, genuinely spicy comfort food it's a fun, fast fix.
