The Spis take

Aarhus's oldest bakery, on Frederiksbjerg since 1898, and still one of the best: long-fermented breads baked in purpose-built stone ovens, plus classic Danish cakes and pastries made from scratch on site. It was voted the city's best bakery in 2021, and the smoked-salmon sandwiches and lattes get their own fans. Prices run a little high, but this is the real, from-scratch article.
