The Spis take

Despite the name, this is not a Chinese restaurant but a long-running hipster ping-pong bar on Sankt Clemens Torv, going some 20 years. A raw graffiti-covered basement with a low ceiling, a tightly packed dance floor and a table tennis table at the back where drunk regulars play round-the-table over cans of Ceres Top. It is nightlife, not dining: open only Thursday to Saturday nights, 20+, loud and crowded, and beloved for exactly that scruffy energy. Reviews split between people who love the vibe and those who find it too packed.
