The Spis take
A proper Odense brun bar on Nørregade where the taps have been running since the 1880s and the schnitzel-and-stegt-flæsk end of Danish cooking is still cheap and unpretentious. Dark wood, a regulars' bar, live music on Fridays and open till 2 on weekends. Fair warning: smoking is allowed, so it's a hard no if you can't sit in it.
