The Spis take
A cosy central bakery built around sourdough, shatteringly crisp croissants and cinnamon swirls in more variations than seems reasonable — the morning stop that ruins supermarket bread for you.
People say
SMÖRbagt is a small, cosy central-Odense bakery/cafe (on Vestergade) that quickly built a name around its cinnamon-swirl 'snegle,' offered in about six varieties (cinnamon, raspberry, Nutella, rum, lemon curd and more), alongside sourdough bread, almond croissants and coffee from its own roastery. Founded by John Damm-Ottesen (also behind BRØD), it's described as a craft-focused, relaxed spot locals return to, with strong delivery-platform ratings. Coverage is mostly local press and tourist listings rather than in-depth critical reviews.
