Café Sommersko is a Copenhagen institution - the city's original French-style café, opened in 1976 - reborn in 2024 at a new address on Palægade near Kongens Nytorv. The current version leans brasserie and vegetable-forward mezze sharing plates alongside the all-day brunch, croque monsieur and burgers, in a lively, bustling room. There's real romance to the name; expect central-Copenhagen prices and treat it as a spot for a long lunch, brunch or after-work rather than a quiet meal.
