A quietly old-fashioned Danish lunch spot right on the Sortedam lake promenade, Søpromenaden does exactly the food a Danish grandmother would set out: cold smørrebrød on dark rye at lunch, warm classics like stegt flæsk and hakkebøf later, all with a snaps or two. The pull is as much the setting as the plate, with lake-view seating that's lovely in summer. Cooking is honest and generous rather than refined, and a few diners find the service brisk to the point of gruff, but for traditional frokost by the water it delivers.
