The Spis take

Not just a place to eat but a social enterprise with a heart — Send Flere Krydderier ("send more spices") is run by immigrant women who cook the dishes of their home countries, from Somali sambuusas to Pakistani butter chicken and Lebanese shish tawook. This Nørre Allé location in Kulturhuset Union has a courtyard and stage, and there's a communal folkekøkken dinner midweek. The food is homey and diverse; the real reason to go is that eating here genuinely supports the cooks and their integration into the labor market.
