Stechers

Stechers is best known for its value: a tapas board with ad-libitum wine and bubbles at a price locals call very fair, served in a small, candlelit, cozy brick room with warm, welcoming staff. The board itself is considered solid but unpretentious rather than innovative, with the cheese selection and duck-liver mousse singled out as highlights and the cocktails (notably the Basil Smash) well-liked. A few visitors feel the fixed seatings can rush groups through and that portions run a touch small for the price.
