The Spis take
A 15-seat Douglas-fir counter in Nordhavn that earned a Michelin star within months of opening, marrying Edomae precision to Danish fish — book early and sit at the bar.
People say
Widely regarded as some of the best sushi in Scandinavia and one of Copenhagen's most coveted reservations, this intimate Edomae omakase from Tokyo-trained chef Mads Battefeld earned a Michelin star in 2025. Reviewers single out the pristine fish, body-temperature rice, and signature tuna cuts and king crab, served at a tiny counter. At roughly 1,900 DKK (about EUR 255) it sits above the city's other one-star spots, which most feel is justified by the quality.
