The Spis take

Tata is a jewel-box cocktail bar tucked into Hotel Sanders with its own street entrance — named for the red velvet curtain of the neighbouring Royal Theatre, and dressed like an elegant, slightly decadent grandmother's sitting room in plush upholstery and velvet. The brainchild of former ballet dancer Alexander Kølpin, it pours seriously good classic cocktails and won Best Bar in Denmark at the 2019 Bartender's Choice Awards. This is a genuine destination for a grown-up drink — one of central Copenhagen's most charming rooms.
