The Spis take
A genuine survivor: Toldbod Bodega dates to 1787 and bills itself as Copenhagen's oldest restaurant, and it plays the part with dark wood, white tablecloths, drippy chandeliers and zero interest in trends. Come for classic smørrebrød done straight, honest portions and prices that feel almost gentle by central-Copenhagen standards. The old-school owner and staff can read as gruff, but that's part of the bodega charm rather than a real strike against it.
