Good foran ambitious Japanese-influenced dinner or date
“
The Spis take
One of central Copenhagen's more interesting recent openings: an intimate Japanese-inspired restaurant on Store Kongensgade from chef Takashi Saito and sommelier Oliver Kudsk, where Japanese technique meets Danish produce — seaweed from local coasts, house pasta, foraged mushrooms — against raw, pared-back architecture. With larger plates starting around 135 kr and a thoughtful wine and cocktail list, it's an ambitious-but-approachable dinner that's genuinely worth planning around. Best for a considered meal or a date rather than a casual drop-in.
