The Spis take

A characterful 18th-century beer-and-wine cellar tucked beneath Moentmestergaarden inside the Den Gamle By open-air museum, named after the Wineke mint masters who lived there. Expect classic Danish smoerrebroed, platters and coffee-and-cake in a low-vaulted historic setting, generally open weekends and holidays. It's a museum eatery first, so it lives or dies on atmosphere rather than culinary ambition, and you'll need museum admission to reach it.
