The Spis take

A small neighborhood 'spiseri' by Akerselva in Nydalen doing Nikkei and South American food, blending Peruvian and Chilean influences with a Japanese hand. Expect bao, tiraditos, fried yuca and other street-food-leaning plates across lunch, tapas and dinner, plus cocktails, wine and beer from the bar. It's the kind of ambitious-but-relaxed local find that punches above its low-key setting, well worth knowing if you're in Nydalen and want something more interesting than the office-lunch default.
