The Spis take

A no-frills Turkish grill house near Tøyen serving generous plates of beyti, mixed grill and chicken skewers at prices that feel gentle for Oslo. It's dry (no alcohol) with tea, ayran and Turkish coffee, and locals rate it among the better Turkish kitchens in town. A minority find service flat or the food less authentic than hoped, but the value and portions win most people over.
