The Spis take

A pirate-themed, slightly decadent dive bar on Storgata that matters more for Oslo's live-music scene than for its food, a locals' hangout rather than a tourist stop. There's a big beer selection, cheap-ish drinks by city standards, gigs in the evenings and a scruffy, unpretentious charm. Come for the atmosphere and the music; the burgers-and-fish-and-chips menu is a sideshow.
