The Spis take

A polished Italian on a quiet canal corner in Bjørvika (Vannkunsten Syd), run by Kari Innerå and Andreas Nork, with big windows onto the water, evening sun and a dock for warm nights. The kitchen does handmade pasta, charcoal-grilled meat and fish, and its own gelato, building Italian technique on seasonal Norwegian produce - and it reviews well (around 83.6 on Spis Her). A calm, grown-up neighbourhood Italian that's especially lovely in summer, at central-Oslo prices.
