The all-day brasserie inside Sommerro, the grand hotel built into Oslo's old 1930s electricity board, and it wears that heritage well: Art Deco bones, original Per Krogh frescoes, and a room that flows from morning coffee through to late-night cocktails and live jazz. The kitchen does classic seasonal brasserie cooking rather than anything boundary-pushing, so you come as much for the setting and the buzz as the plate. It's a see-and-be-seen hotel restaurant, priced accordingly, and the 25+ door policy after 22:00 tells you the crowd it's courting.
