Galgen is a family-friendly neighborhood spot at Galgeberg in Gamle Oslo that plays cafe by day and relaxed gathering place by night, having reopened in spring 2026. Expect well-made burgers, salads and weekend brunch (two timed seatings), good beer and wine, and a big backyard that's a genuine bonus if you've got toddlers in tow. It's more solid local hangout than culinary event, but the casual mood and easygoing service earn it real neighborhood affection.
