Billed as Oslo's first Korean kitchen (since 2015), Gangnam sits in an anonymous-looking building at the Vika/Munkedamsveien edge of Aker Brygge and has become the city's go-to for the real thing. The kitchen makes 30-plus dishes in-house, with the yangnyeom fried chicken, kimchi jjigae and tofu mains drawing the loudest praise, and there are halal options too. Portions are generous and staff are warm; the odd dish can land flat and prices are firmly Oslo-level, but this is a genuine local favourite for Korean food.
