The Spis take

One of Oslo's oldest beer gardens (since 1978), plonked right in the greenery of Olaf Ryes plass on Grünerløkka — the quintessential Løkka summer hangout. The Scandinavian, largely local-and-organic menu is honestly secondary to the setting: blankets and heaters, a leafy park, and a beer in the sun. It's seasonal (closed through winter), so it's a warm-months-only proposition, and you're paying partly for the location.
