The Spis take

A cosy little neighborhood café in Disen (northeast Oslo), open since 2008 and beloved by locals for good coffee, fresh bread and sandwiches; the focaccia gets singled out again and again. Seating inside is tight (a handful of small tables) but the generous outdoor area, complete with blankets and a big playground next door, makes it a genuine family favourite in summer. Unpretentious and warmly run; a proper local rather than a destination.
