The Spis take

A tiny, much-loved coffee kiosk on Galgeberg — barely eleven square metres in a 1935 building that was once next to an auto-repair shop's smoking room, now a genuine neighborhood institution for Vålerenga. It pours Kaffa-roasted coffee and sells baked goods, but the real story is that it's community-owned by dozens of local co-owners and runs plant markets, concerts and charity events. Independent to its bones and worth a detour if you care about that; just don't expect a place to sit at.
