A Majorstuen old-timer that opened in 1951 and still trades on preserved period charm, serving a broad menu of traditional Norwegian home cooking alongside pasta, salads, fish and meat, with the bar carrying on after the kitchen closes. It's more a comfortable neighbourhood institution than a culinary event, the kind of place for unpretentious classics and a drink in familiar surroundings. Reliable and characterful rather than exciting.
