The Spis take

Oslo's great summer institution: a huge floating bar-restaurant on a barge at Aker Brygge, open only in the warm months and only as long as the sun holds. Nobody comes for culinary greatness. You come for shrimp, shellfish, burgers and cold drinks with an unbeatable Oslofjord and Akershus-fortress view, and to soak up the biggest, buzziest outdoor terrace in town (up to ~1,200 seats, drop-in, DJs into the small hours on weekend nights). Tourist-priced and packed, but that's the point.
