The Spis take

The Karl Johan branch of Max, the big Swedish burger chain that made this its first Norwegian outpost back in 2011. It's fast food with a slightly better-than-average reputation, decent burgers, fries and shakes, a solid line of green/vegan options, and later hours for the after-hours crowd. No surprises and no pretension: it's a chain, and a reliable one. Fine for a quick, cheap-ish central feed when you just want a burger.
