The Spis take

SALT is less a restaurant than a sprawling waterfront art, sauna and music complex on Langkaia, all dramatic wooden pyramids facing the Opera House and Bjørvika. Food-wise the draw is the outdoor BÅL open-fire dining and the bars, best enjoyed as part of a day of saunas, DJs and concerts rather than as a dinner in its own right. It's a genuine only-in-Oslo experience and a great spot for a drink by the fjord — just set expectations around the atmosphere and program, not the menu.
