The Spis take

A cosy, unpretentious café-bar just off the Thorvald Meyers gate drag, and one of the older watering holes on Grünerløkka (open since around 1990). It's a locals' place with a rock/punk/metal soundtrack, reasonably priced beer and drinks and warm, characterful staff — the kind of dimly-lit neighbourhood spot regulars are fond of rather than a destination for visitors. Come for the atmosphere and the cheap-ish pint, not for food.
