The Spis take

U1 is the student pub in the basement of Eilert Sundts hus on the University of Oslo's Blindern campus, run by the social-science faculty's student association. It's a café by day and a genuinely lively pub by night, with cheap beer, quizzes, debates and concerts filling its couple-hundred seats. Not a destination unless you're part of that world, but for UiO students it's a beloved, dirt-cheap home base rather than a place you'd trek to.
