One of Oslo's genuine wine-bar institutions — Dr. Kneipp's, the intimate bar attached to Markveien Mat & Vinhus, opened in 1991 and often cited as among the city's first. It's a cozy, low-lit Grünerløkka room built for lingering over a glass from a deep list (400-plus bottles, plenty by the glass) with small bites or an affordable dish of the day. For a proper old-school wine sit-down on Løkka, with knowledgeable staff and no pretension, this is the reference point.
